The premium EV segment in Nepal has seen another revision, with the Deepal S05 getting more expensive just months after its last update.
The latest increase reportedly comes due to recent taxation policy adjustments in the market, which have continued to impact pricing across the premium electric vehicle segment in Nepal.
In the latest June update, the S05 Plus variant is priced at Rs 57.99 lakh, up from Rs 53.99 lakh in April. The Max variant now costs Rs 62.49 lakh for the Black interior and Rs 62.99 lakh for the Orange interior, compared to Rs 59.49 lakh and Rs 59.99 lakh previously.
This follows an earlier April hike, where the model already saw a notable upward adjustment, reflecting continued pricing pressure in the premium EV space.
Despite the increase, the S05 retains its strong technical package. It is powered by a 99 kW motor producing 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 56.12 kWh battery delivering a WLTP range of 405 km and up to 470 km (NEDC).
In terms of size, it measures 4,620 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with 175 mm ground clearance and 18-inch alloy wheels. The design highlights include a shark-nose front, frameless doors, flush handles, LED star-feather tail lamps, an illuminated logo, and a 1.9 m² panoramic glass roof.
Inside, it offers a premium tech-focused cabin with leatherette upholstery, 64-color ambient lighting, a 14-speaker system, ventilated and heated seats, and a Queen Co-Pilot Seat. A 14.4-inch touchscreen provides app-based connectivity, while the Deepal app enables remote controls and tracking.
Safety and tech include ADAS 2.0 with 19 functions, Remote In & Out Parking, and an AR Head-Up Display. It also uses CATL Golden Shield Battery System 2.0 with fast charging (30–80% in ~15 minutes), up to 5,000 charge cycles, and strong cold-weather performance.
With this revision, the S05 further strengthens its position in Nepal’s premium EV segment—but at a higher entry cost.
